Peels 101 with Matthew from Matthew Miller Skin in NYC!

Some people hear the word “peel” and get nervous. Think of Sex in the City, when Samantha got that peel that no one will ever forget!

The reality is, receiving a peel can help your skincare work even better! We tapped Matthew Miller, of Matthew Miller Skin in NYC, to give us the low down on peels and to answer some common questions.

COSMEDIX: How do I know which peel is safe for my skin tone?

Matthew Miller: A professional aesthetician should provide a thorough assessment of your skin before any peel, treatment or facial begins. One of the assessments is a Fitzpatrick Scale ranking. If your ranking is 4 or higher, your skin may be at risk for hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) if peels are too aggressive. Ask your aesthetician to help determine which peel is right for you and your skin needs.

C: Are peels safe for deep and dark skin tones?

M: Yes. The problems that people with darker skin tones experience with peels is due to technical error, not the peels themselves. Clients with more pigmentation may react differently and become more sensitive to certain active ingredients than clients with lighter skin tones. It is to seek an experienced aesthetician and peels that are gentle yet effective on highly pigmented skin.

C: What peels are safe for clients with pigmented skin?

M: Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, Retinol and Jessner’s Peel have proven to be less problematic for African-American skin. If your skin tends to be reactive it is important to work your way up to more aggressive peel treatments to get the results you want and to avoid complications. It is important to disclose as much information about your skin condition and lifestyle to help an aesthetician recommend the right peel for you and your skin goals.

C: How will my skin react to a peel?

M: It depends on the peel. All peels can cause your skin to be sensitive to the sun. Some peels cause redness. Other peels with gentler ingredients will exfoliate your skin and renew your complexion with little to no downtime. Medium to deep peels may cause your skin to peel or shed for days or weeks. Ask your aesthetician about recovery time and typical aftereffects of your peel of choice.

C: How can I find out if I will have an unfavorable reaction to a peel?

M: A good aesthetician will always want the best for your skin. If you are unsure about a treatment, ask your aesthetician to do a spot test on the skin in an inconspicuous place. This will give you an idea of how your skin may react to peel and foreshadow how long your recovery time may be. Give your skin up to 30 days to recover from the spot test to see final results.

The Luxury of Clean Skin

In recent years, the skincare industry has seen an influx of facial cleansers with promises to improve the appearance of the skin, but how does this category fit into overall wellness?

Allure magazine recently published an article detailing the psychosocial impact that cleanliness has on our lives. Nowadays, taking the time to cleanse and treat the skin each day can double as a moment to set your intentions and meditate for overall wellness; and with the right ingredients, your regimen can provide a sensorial experience that you won’t want to skip!

In the article, communications-studies professor, Rachel Anise Wegter, connects the dots by saying, “cleansing enables a sort of physical catharsis…it allows us to wash away the stress, frustration, and literal dirt we’ve encountered throughout the day. And that alone is something to rave about.”

But, with so many products on the market, how does one find the perfect cleanser?

In order to find products that can combat your specific concerns, it’s important to identify what they are and what’s causing them. COSMEDIX recommends frequent visits to a skincare professional to assess your skin’s individual needs and establish a custom regimen. Visit https://www.cosmedix.com/store-locator to find a professional near you.

Luckily, each product in the line is carefully formulated to provide clinical results with clean ingredients that promote overall skin health. Not only are the cleansers effective, but they are formulated with intelligent exfoliation, which helps to boost the effectiveness of every other product. With these components, you will be able to bring the spa experience into the comfort of your own home.

Decompress with COSMEDIX Cleansers

With COSMEDIX, the days of sacrificing wellness for beauty are no longer. Each product is formulated free of any parabens, benzoyl peroxide, artificial dyes, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum derivates, artificial fragrances, harsh additives and more. Instead, the cleansers are packed with botanical ingredients, which have sensorial benefits that will free your skin (and mind) from daily stressors!

The first step to any regimen is cleanser, so it’s imperative to find the perfect one. Check out the following products to see which one best suits your needs:

Benefit Clean—a light, foaming cleanser that’s gentle enough for all skin types, yet effective enough to remove debris and environmental pollutants from the skin. This cleanser is perfect for everyday use and post-treatment, as the sandalwood works as an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial astringent to cool and soothe the skin.

The bonus: This cleanser is formulated with grapefruit oil, which according to Dr. Axe, helps to increase mental focus. Kickstart a productive day with Benefit Clean!

Purity Cleanif you’re on the oily side, deal with pesky blemishes or struggle with uneven texture, this is the cleanser for you! Purity Clean is formulated with exfoliating Lactic Acid, Tea Tree and Peppermint Oil, which helps to exfoliate the skin for a more balanced and healthier-looking complexion. The format of the product differs from other water-based cleanser, as the oil works to dissolve the other dirt and oils on the skin without stripping skin of its natural, protective oil.

The Bonus: The benefits of Peppermint oil don’t stop there! According to Dr.Jockers, peppermint oil helps to increase oxygen capability, which promotes good brain health. Invigorate your mind twice daily with Purity Clean!

Purity Solution—cleansing oils have been all the rage lately and Purity Solution is no exception! With a powerful blend of olive, moringa, kukui, safflower, sesame and argan oils, Purity Solution works to gently break down dirt, excess oil and impurities while nourishing the skin with vitamins.

Beauty From the Inside Out: 5 Habits for Brighter, Healthier-looking Skin!

Healthy skin is in! There is nothing better than giving your skin that “glow from within” by starting your beauty routine from the inside out. From top-rated supermodels to our favorite bloggers, we found that healthy, glowing skin is often a result of clean lifestyle habits and effective products. In today’s post, we’re dishing our tips for improving your skin’s appearance this spring!

  1. Hydrate: This may come as no surprise, but hydration is a major key to achieving a healthy glow. It’s important to consume an adequate amount of water each day for overall health, so we recommend a gallon a day for good measure. Just like other cells in the body, skin cells rely on hydration for functionality and when we deprive our skin of water, it can begin to show externally. Pro Tip: place a glass of water on your nightstand and start each morning with a burst of hydration! We’ve heard that adding a little lemon to your water in the morning can give you as much energy as coffee! Have you given it a try?
  2. Clean diet: We can assume that everything we place into our bodies has potential to affect our outward appearance. Foods with high sugar can affect hormone balance and inflammation, which can lead to sagging skin, wrinkles and acne. Pro Tip: Try incorporating leafy greens, dairy-substitutes, green tea and vegetables into your diet and watch your skin transform from within.
  3. Prioritize sleep: Stress plays a major role in the overall appearance of our skin, so getting a good night’s rest should be a top priority. Our bodies use sleep to rebalance hydration, reduce stress levels and regulate the immune system. It’s recommended that adults aim for 7-9 hours each night. Pro Tip: Ditch your electronics one hour before bedtime to fall asleep faster.
  4. Get active: Sweating is the body’s natural form of detoxifying. As pores dilate, the skin releases toxins and buildup that could otherwise lead to blemishes. A good sweat session also reduces inflammation in the body, which regulates hormones. Pro Tip: Find a workout buddy and commit to getting active at least three times each week!
  5. Frequent masking: While it’s important to promote skin health from within, there are several topical solutions to stubborn skincare concerns. Applying masks is a great way to supplement a skincare regime by deep cleaning the skin and unclogging pores. COSMEDIX masks are formulated with an intelligent exfoliation that allows the active ingredients to penetrate the skin for maximum efficacy. Pro Tip: Try multi-masking to spot treat different facial zones based on your concerns.

 Masks We Recommend

Glow Bamboo Brightening Mask is formulated with bamboo stem extracts that gently remove the dead surface skin for improved appearance and discoloration of uneven skin tone. The exfoliating properties reveal smoother, brighter and more luminous-looking complexion. We recommend adding this mask to your nighttime routine up to three times per week for maximum benefits.

Pure Enzymes Cranberry Exfoliating Mask creates a spa-like experience at home with a nourishing combination of cranberry enzymes and lactic acid. This mask gently polishes away dead surface cells and pore-clogging impurities and in just 3-10 minutes, the Gluconic Acid activates for visibly softer and plumper skin.

Complete the Regimen

While masks are highly recommended, it’s important that you have an everyday regimen that works with the skin to improve some of the most common concerns. Below are recommended products for a 360 approach to healthy, glowing skin:

  • Purity Clean Exfoliating Cleanser’s award-winning formula exfoliates, decongests and cleanses the skin for visibly-improved texture. This cleanser effectively preps the skin for masks and can be applied both morning and night.
  • Protect your skin from free radical damage with the Benefit Balance Antioxidant-Infused Toning Mist. This refreshing toner contains D-guluronic acid and shea butter for lightweight moisturizer that’s suitable for all skin types.
  • Environmental stressors can lead to signs of aging with fine lines and wrinkles, so optimize your routine by incorporating the Cell ID Nutritive Defense Serum. This restorative serum is packed with oligopeptide and mitochondrial complex tripeptide to stimulate the skin’s natural rejuvenation process for brighter, healthy-looking skin.
  • Emulsion Intense Hydrator is formulated with liquid crystal technology and shea butter for deep, lasting hydration. Avoid the appearance of aging skin by applying this to your face both morning and night.

Is Jade The Secret To Better Skin?

We’re always looking for the holy grail of skincare. A quick look at history made us realized that we may have overlooked something that has been cooling, tightening and depuffing skin for hundreds of years. The jade roller has been used in Chinese beauty regimens dating back to the 7th century. This gemstone’s metaphysical properties are said to promote the healing process and help balance the senses to attract good health, wealth and prosperity. Physically, the strong emerald-hued stone helps to aid in the removal of toxins and fluid build up by simply pressing it against the skin. Throughout beauty history, the jade roller has been the mechanical equivalent of the high-tech tool we use today. It’s again trending and being used in facial treatments around the world.  You can easily incorporate this wildly popular and accessible little tool into your daily home care regimens.

Here is how you can use a jade roller:

For the eyes: Lymphatic drainage can build up around the eyes causing them to look stressed and tired. When you pair the jade roller with an eye serum like Eye Genius for dark circles and puffiness or Opti Crystal for dryness, lines and wrinkles, the eyes receive an instant wakeup call. Start by applying the directed amount of eye serum to the small end of the roller. Smooth the product onto the eye area with small upward strokes and a tiny bit of pressure. This will help disperse the unwanted fluid buildup, soothe and depuff the eye area.

Pro Tip: Pop the jade roller in the fridge for a cooling massage to depuff overnight swelling.

For the face: By using a jade roller to apply skincare to the face, more product is absorbed into the face instead of into your hands. Plus, by using the jade roller, your serums are pressed into the skin for better absorption and evenly distributed all over the face for even results. Try it with Affirm, COSMEDIX’s antioxidant-rich firming serum. Simply add the desired amount to the jade roller and apply to the skin in an upward motion. Ensure skin has properly absorbed the serum before applying moisturizer.

For the body: Just like a good message, the jade roller helps release tension in the body. The gentle pressure and upward motion helps to promote circulation which helps plump and firm skin naturally. The jade roller is perfect for a neck and décolleté product such as Illuminate and Lift. Using the wide end of the jade roller, gently roll it onto the neck and chest for a smoother, lifted look.

SKIP THE FOUNDATION This is how you get flawlessly contoured skin.

What if we could take back our mornings? What if we didn’t have to spend so much time slathering on primers, concealers, foundations and contour powders? What if we could be comfortable being bare-faced? It’s much easier than you think. First, we must address what we are really trying to cover up with makeup.

Whether its acne, blemishes, redness or just skin that has lost its elasticity, we must identify what is chipping away at our skin confidence. Consulting an aesthetician or dermatologist helps take the expensive guesswork out of clearing up your skin condition. Once you and your skin professional figure out what is causing your skin issues, it will be easier to start a regimen to help you become more comfortable in your own skin.

Step 1: Wash away the grime.

“You should be able to sing the Happy Birthday song twice before you rinse,” said Ryan Christopher, Global Director of Education at COSMEDIX. He explained you must breakdown all the makeup, oil and pollution from the day and that requires at least a minute of cleansing.

Step 2: Target the problem.

Serums are concentrated skin solvers. Packed full of concentrated active ingredients, they can brighten dark spots, reduce redness and help firm and smooth skin. You can layer on serums – just make sure you place them on the skin from thin to thick. For a flawless, even complexion, a brightening serum such as Simply Brilliant will help even out skin tone and help erase hyperpigmentation caused by the sun or blemishes.

Step 3: Get your skin in shape.

Prevention is key to getting your skin in shape. We often talk about prevention in relation to sun damage we will get to that next.  However, an age management regimen is something you can start earlier. Your skin’s metabolism will start to wane around the time your internal metabolism does. So here is a youth-restoring tip from Ryan: “If you are worried about signs of aging, you need Cell ID.” The oligopeptide and mitochondrial complex tripeptide helps boost the skin’s natural rejuvenation process at the first signs of changing skin texture to bring vitality back to the skin. It’s like drinking a youth serum before you turn 21.

However, if your skin has already started to show signs of aging such as the onset of fine lines, crepey and droopy skin it may be time to shape up. A firming mask is the first and best step. New formulas have proven that you can see contoured results without invasive procedures and see unbelievable results while you sleep. Bio-Shape Face Firming Mask improves skin tension and wrinkles in just two hours. Wrinkles surface, length and number are reduced and skin will feel firmer and smoother in a matter of hours.

Donald L., a COSMEDIX fan, applied the mask before he went to bed and slept in it all night. “My skin felt infused with moisture!” he wrote. “My skin looked refreshed and moisturized and fine lines looked less visible.”

In a clinical study of women between 54 and 75 using a key ingredient in Bio-Shape, 80 % felt they had firmer and more sculpted skin, 70% felt their skin had less sagging and 65% felt their skin felt more lifted after just two months.

Step 4: Moisturize.

Pouring hydration into the skin and locking it in is how you keep skin looking firm, plump and healthy. For daytime, choose a multitasking moisturizer like Peptide-Rich Defense so you can save some time in your morning routine. A moisturizing sunscreen with antioxidants is your best choice. It protects the skin from dehydration, environmental pollution and the sun to prevent damage to your skin. Skin firming peptides are also a plus.

This “90 days to flawless” plan will have your skin looking and feeling its best. Skin will appear firmer, smoother, more even toned and radiant.  It’s the perfect regimen to give you a boost in confidence.

Rethinking Retinoids: A New Approach to Skincare's No. 1 Anti-Aging Ingredient

Vitamin A has been scientifically proven to turn back the clock by decreasing the look of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, acne, as well as helping to decrease the loss of elasticity. Choosing the best type of Vitamin A is key.  Retinol (Vitamin A) and its natural and synthetic derivatives are collectively known as retinoids. Retinaldehyde (aka retinal), retinoic acid and retinyl esters are all part of the retinoid family. Retinoids are the most efficacious ingredients proven to stimulate fibroblasts cells that aid in maintaining the integrity of the skin matrix and promoting collagen thus significantly reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Retinol and its derivatives remain the closest thing skincare companies have to a “fountain of youth,” however they’re not without its weaknesses. Retinols degrade rapidly in light and oxygen and cause irritation in large doses.

Of all the members of the retinoid family, only retinoic acid is biologically active. This means a retinol has to be converted to retinoic acid before it can do its magic on the skin cells. This is the most aggressive form of Vitamin A and is typically found in prescription strength formulations. Because retinols can cause severe side effects such as redness, peeling and sun sensitivity for many, products with additives such as mineral oil or alcohol may exacerbate the very skin conditions you’re trying to treat.

A less irritable form of Vitamin A or retinol, is the most common form of retinoid in skin care. It can be obtained from certain foods, such as fish oil and liver, or indirectly from fruits and vegetables, such as carrots, melons, apricots, mangos, spinach and tomatoes. With the help of enzymes, it is then converted to retinal to penetrate the skin. To be effective, retinal is then converted into retinoic acid for cell delivery. Retinol is equally as effective as retinoic acid, but with minimized side effects. Retinol’s counterpart, retinol ester, is also widely used but can be less effective because it must be converted into retinol first. COSMEDIX has developed a proprietary chirally-corrected complex that takes vitamin A to the next level. By rethinking retinoids, science comes ever closer to creating a true skin care miracle.

Retinol and L-Lactic Acid

The skin is the body’s largest organ and its first line of defense from free radicals. This complex and fragile system needs protection from harmful environmental aggressors, such as UV radiation, toxic substances and oxidation. Being a very active organ, it is also the first to suffer from these aggressions, as seen in the formation of wrinkles, loss of elasticity and even in extreme instances€“ skin cancer.

Retinol and its derivatives are essential in the fighting of free radicals and maintaining the skin’s healthy look. Retinol can work with chirally-correct L-lactic acid to stimulate change in the skin without irritation, making it an ideal choice for all skin types and conditions. This natural exfoliant is used in many of COSMEDIX’s nourishing, anti-aging skin care products.

Getting the Best from Retinoids

Chemists have also found that combining retinol (or even more active retinal) with certain lipoproteins, glycoproteins, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and other natural plant-based amphiphilic compounds can help overcome the challenge of permeating both water and oil-based cellular barriers as well as the challenge of problematic irritation. In this case, multiple water and lipid-soluble layers act as alternating keys, each allowing the transported ingredient the retinoid to pass deeper into the skin with less irritation. By minimizing irritation, retinoid concentrations can increase. Combining retinoids with intelligent encapsulation has helped to create a new generation of retinoid that’s more effective and gentler than ever before.

Fighting Acne with Oil

We’ve all been there. You think the only way to get rid of your acne is to control your oil so you do everything in your power to dry your skin out. You wash your face every chance you get with cleansers that strip any and all moisture from your skin, and you use harsh spot treatments to dry out your blemishes. The result is tight, dry skin, followed by the inevitable oil slick. If your oily skin is supposedly causing your acne, why doesn’t this method work?

The answer is simple each time you strip your oil away, your skin has to over-compensate for the lack of oil, therefore creating more. While harsh spot treatments and cleansers may work to maintain your acne for a few days or weeks, your skin will eventually go back to being acne-ridden usually worse than it was before. The solution to this skin madness? Use an oil-based cleanser to clean your skin and nourish it at the same time.

Wait, What?

Cleansing your face with an oil-based cleanser might sound scary for those with acne, but it’s important to remember that oil is not the enemy, and your skin actually needs some of it in order to stay balanced. Bacteria, hormones, dead skin cells and more usually cause those pesky blackheads, blemishes and cysts to appear on your face and body, so don’t be afraid to try cleansing with an oil you will be pleasantly surprised by how balanced and healthy your skin feels!

Purity Solution

Purity Solution by COSMEDIX is great for all skin types, including acne-prone skin. Containing a nutrient-rich blend of olive, moringa, kukui, safflower, sesame and argan oils, it works to gently break down dirt and impurities the actual acne culprits while nourishing the skin with vitamins and ensuring it retains its essential moisture. Purity Solution works as a makeup remover or a daily face wash.

Fact or Fiction Peeling Away the Fear of Chemical Peels

We have all watched that infamous episode of Sex in the City the one where Samantha Jones goes in to her aesthetician’s office for a chemical peel and comes out bearing a seemingly painful pout. Just the sight of her peeling skin caused us to put down the remote and pick up the phone to call and cancel our upcoming spa appointment. There is a long-standing myth in the esthetic industry that chemical peels can cause scary side effects that many of us fear, but is there any truth to these apprehensions?

Face Your Fears

There are many peels on the market with results that vary depending on your skin condition and intensity of the peel. Your aesthetician will guide you to the right treatment to get you to your desired appearance, whether you require a light treatment to more advanced exfoliation. Now with the fear factor out of the way, what peel would work best for your skin and target your skin concerns?

Feel the Peel

Whether you are trying to fix severe acne or you are just looking to get rid of blemishes or acne scars, COSMEDIX has a peel to meet your needs. Purity Peel is a great treatment for those who suffer from acneic or oily skin. This detoxifying peel cuts through excess oil to decongest pores and clarify blemish-prone skin. Chemical exfoliation helps to penetrate skin to ensure that ingredients, including Ferulic and Pyruvic Hydroxy Acids and our specially formulated AGP microencapsulated Retinol Complex, can get deep down beneath your skin to clear even the most problematic skin conditions.

Even if you don’t suffer from problematic skin, a peel such as Blueberry Smoothie by COSMEDIX can work wonders! With a smell as good as it sounds, Blueberry Smoothie combines blueberry extract and Jojoba Beads to gentle exfoliate your skin and rid you of blemishes and imperfections. Perfect for all skin types, this powerful facial treatment utilizes Lactic and Glucuronic Acids to leave your skin with a youthful, healthy glow without irritation.

Beautiful yet powerful, you can leave the worry behind with COSMEDIX peels and rest assured you won’t have to hide out after your treatments. Peel away acne and blemishes to reveal happier skin and a happier you!

Is Your Diet Ruining Your Skin?

Changing your diet is stressful enough. However, it is time to start thinking about how diet effects your skin as much as your waistline. It’s much easier to have a cheat day and make up for it with an extra workout. There is no cheating your skin. It is your body’s largest organ and it is affected by everything you do and everything you eat. Is there a such thing as a skin diet? Dr. Jessica Wu likes to think so. Author of “Feed Your Face: Younger, Smoother Skin and a Beautiful Body in 28 Delicious Days” told Forbes that she believes that what you put in your mouth is just as important as what you put on the skin.

Wu told Forbes: “Foods get digested and broken down into vitamins, minerals and amino acids that your body can use to build healthy skin. For example, if you don’t eat enough protein, you are depriving your skin of the amino acids that go into making collagen (which makes your skin strong) and elastic tissue (which makes it supple).”

Dr. Wu recommends stocking up on antioxidant-rich foods such as red, green and yellow vegetables. These vegetables help reduce sun damage by fighting the free radicals that break down collagen. However, some nutritionists recommend staying away from nightshade vegetables a plant family that includes eggplant, peppers, potatoes and tomatoes as they can stimulate inflammation. This diet has been famously adopted by supermodel Gisele Bündchen and football player-husband Tom Brady.

According to “Significance of Diet in Treated and Untreated Acne Vulgaris,” published in the Advances in Dermatology and Allergology last year, a high intake of omega-3 fatty acids can inhibit inflammation and “can have a therapeutic effect on acne.” Omega-3 fatty acids are often found in fish, walnuts and seeds like chia or flax. A North Carolina study showed that teenagers that consumer large amounts of fish and seafood have less acne symptoms.

On the road to clear skin, there are some foods and beverages that should be avoided. According to “Significance of Diet in Treated and Untreated Acne Vulgaris,” studies have shown that high glycemic indexes (or carbs high in sugar) can increase the production of sebum, which can clog pores and stimulate breakouts. People that avoid refined foods such as cereals, chips, cookies and bread as well as dairy products, coffee, alcohol, sugar and oils experienced minimal to no breakouts.

Can acne be cleared by simply changing your diet? Honestly, it’s uncertain. There could still be other factors triggering your acne such as stress, sun exposure, pollution or hormones. According to Apostolos Pappas in “The Relationship of Diet and Acne: A Review”: “To prevent acne by dietary manipulation may not be possible, but there are scientifically plausible reasons to believe that nutrition can affect acne.” It’s worth a try.

Maintaining Skin Between Treatments

Getting your skin in tip-top shape is all about taking a holistic approach. Proper diet, professional treatments and homecare regimens are the three elements for getting the skin you desire. One of the most common skincare concerns is acne, and a holistic approach is key to help treat this condition. We have already written about how diet can affect your skin and how professional treatment can expedite your success but the third element, homecare (your daily regimen) is just as important.

The first step in creating your perfect regimen is to talk to an aesthetician. Whether you are looking to fight acne, hyperpigmentation or wrinkles, your aesthetician will be able to pick and choose the exact products that will work best for your skin. But what are the elements to look for when you are on your own?

A good cleanser

Cleansing, especially when dealing with congested or acne-prone skin, is the most important step in your regimen. Cleansing doesn’t just rid your skin of impurities, it also clears the path for the rest of your regimen.

Toner

This step is often skipped, but is not to be forgotten. Toners can be used for a variety of purposes, but its first goal is to prep your skin to receive serums in the most effective way possible. For example, acneic skin types will use Purity Balance after cleansing to remove excess oil from the skin so that serums, like Clarity, can penetrate the skin.

Serums

This is where the magic happens. Serums are targeted formulas that can have a variety of benefits for the skin. Some hydrate, while others nourish, brighten, exfoliate and more. Layering serums is also a great way to target multiple concerns and needs. Just remember to apply in order of thickness. Thin to thick is key.

Moisturizer

No matter what your skin type is, you need to keep your skin hydrated. Yes, even if you have oily skin. Dehydration is the earliest cause of premature aging, so set yourself up for success.

SPF

The sun is an interesting thing. We need the vitamin D it provides to be healthy, but too much can damage our skin. Wearing a minimum of SPF 15 each day is important to prevent premature aging and protect your skin from environmental damage.

Don’t forget that consistency is key to achieving any goal skincare related or not. So keep at it and results will follow!
